There are places where we have been able to install Compact doors that we are particularly proud of. One of them is the TT Circuit Assen. The first race was held there on 11 July 1925 on a 28.4 km track. Since 1927 with international participants. Today’s Grand Prix circuit is 4542 m long. At the TT Circuit Assen, we installed several industrial doors in RAL 9006 colour for the pit boxes in 2015. The pit lane of the circuit has 34 large pit boxes for the participating teams. On the pit lane, the quality of the technology and the skill of the mechanics can make the difference between victory and defeat. The mechanics need full concentration and must be able to do their job without distraction.
Pit boxes with industrial doors
The pit boxes themselves contain everything the mechanics need for their work. This is where the car is prepared for the start and where it is checked for damage after the race. Since space in the pits is precious, the industrial door should take up as little space as possible. In addition, various cables run along the ceiling directly behind the door and, of course, the lighting should not be covered. Due to this limited space, it was decided to use Compact industrial doors to close the pit boxes. Since these doors fold into a small package above the door opening, they are the ideal choice when there is only limited space available for installation. There are no rails running along the ceiling into the workshop and torsion springs are not necessary. The interior space can therefore be used optimally.
