Rolflex always manufactures the panels for all Compact folding doors in its own factory. But why are we actually doing it this way? Isn’t it easier to use universal panels? There are several reasons for the decision to make the panels ourself.
Probably the most important reason for this is the special folding technique. With an ordinary sectional door, the door runs on rails along the ceiling into the building. The hinges only have to move a little. The folding door, on the other hand, folds up so that the hinges unfold completely. The panels are then stacked one on top of the other. In order for this to work, the hinges are mounted between the panels.
